About Me
I am a California native who recently moved to Lincoln. I began my career serving young people while attending college in Portland, Oregon. My first introduction to public education came at the hand of a local non-profit organization where I developed before and after school programs for at-risk youth. After obtaining my bachelor's degree in psychology, I pursued a graduate degree in school psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. Upon graduating, I immediately began working as a school psychologist in the upper tri-cities area. A desire to be closer to family led me back to California where I acted as a school psychologist for 2 years before pursuing a school administration credential. As a school administrator of 4 years, I acted as the director of special education. Looking for more opportunities for my growing family, I decided to move to Lincoln where I am currently the school psychologist at Southeast High School.
My path to serve young people started early in my career however my passion for it has been lifelong. I have had the opportunity to work with infants, children and young adults from diverse populations and backgrounds with varying disabilities. I have worked as a director, supervisor, classroom paraprofessional, and one to one paraprofessional. I specialize in supporting adolescents and young adults through the challenges of social, emotional, and academic development. My hope is to use my God-given gifts to bless others by helping them live meaningful and positive lives.
When home, I am a father to my 3 children. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, backpacking, camping, gaming, exercising, and most importantly, Husker football.
